Foundation Information

Established in 2003, the RMCVB Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that conducts and supports activities to promote the advancement and further the charitable and educational activities set forth by the Richmond Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Foundation holds an annual golf tournament that benefits any tourism-related organization or event and conducts a speakers bureau on issues relating to customer service and industry-related events. Money raised from RMCVB's 2004 and 2005 golf tournaments was donated to citycelebrations, a non-profit organization charged with energizing downtown Richmond and uniting the Region through festivals and events, to support the efforts of the National Folk Festival, a unique folk arts celebration featuring music and dance performances, workshops, storytelling, parades, craft exhibits and culinary delights. The free, three-day outdoor event was first held in the Region in October 2005 and will return in 2006 and 2007.

Your tax-deductible gifts are welcome. To make a donation to RMCVB's Foundation, contact Tamera Wilkins, Events and Sponsorships Manager, at 804-783-7410 or twilkins@richmondva.org, or check out the variety of sponsorship opportunities available to local businesses.
