From traditional suburban shopping malls and quaint specialty stores to eclectic boutiques and gem-filled antique shops, the Richmond Region has its share of shopping. Shop-a-holics were thrilled with the opening of Short Pump Town Center and Stony Point Fashion Park, two upscale, open-air shopping malls, in 2003. Want something you can't find elsewhere? Try the unique stores of Carytown or the designer shops "On the Avenues" at Libbie and Grove avenues. For a truly homegrown experience, visit the 17th Street Farmers' Market, open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from May through October. And if outlet shopping is on your list, there are outlet malls a short drive north and east of the Region.
